Stakin is now live on Matic!
We’re thrilled to announce that Stakin is now live on Matic! Matic Network brings massive scale to Ethereum using an adapted version of Plasma with PoS based side chains.
Stakin’s fee as of right now is 1% a year. You can stake your assets via:

Solrise Incentivezed Testnet: Solrise DAWN
On the 27th of May 2021, Solrise announced their very first incentivized testnet: Solrise DAWN. Solrise DAWN will start on June 8th, 2021. The day after Solana SZN ends, and will run for two weeks. DAWN will be a competition run on the Solana Devnet. The basic rules of the competition are pretty simple: whoever gets the highest returns wins. There are two overlapping competition tracks, one for fund Managers and one for Investors.

Polkadot Stop: what happened?
On Monday, the 24th of May 2021, Polkadot nodes failed due to an OOM error and Later. Several nodes failed with a “storage root mismatch” error. The first block that showed an error block 5,202,216 contained an on-chain solution to the validator election, usually computed off-chain and only on-chain if no off-chain solution is submitted. Due to the high number of nominators, the election overflowed the memory allocated in the Wasm environment.
While an update was being prepared to resolve the issue, validators were asked to temporarily downgrade their node software to a previous version that includes a native (non-Wasm) version of the runtime. The Wasm memory allocator does not constrain the native version. The network recovered after an hour and ten minutes of downtime.
Later, on blocks 5,203,204, several nodes failed with a “storage root mismatch” error. After investigation, this was due to a difference in the compiler version that built the native runtime and the on-chain Wasm runtime. The solution was to implement a feature that overrides the on-chain Wasm runtime with a Wasm runtime build with the correct compiler version. We’re happy that issues were quickly resolved.
ICON CPS Sponsorship Proposal
At Stakin, we always think while voting as to what kind of proposals are beneficial for the community. As of writing, five new proposals are being voted on, which is somewhat low compared to the past, where there was a surge of proposals. As there are still funds remaining in the CPF, we think it’s a good time to announce the call for proposals that we can sponsor publicly. It’s time to put on the creative hat and accelerate further the growth of the ICON ecosystem!
DISCLAIMER: This is not financial advice. Staking, delegation, and cryptocurrencies involve a high degree of risk, and there is always the possibility of loss, including the failure of all staked digital assets. Additionally, delegators are at risk of slashing in case of security or liveness faults on some protocols. We advise you to do your due diligence before choosing a validator.
